    Description: Is a slender, oceanic fish, its body covered in small scales. Its back is an iridescent blue and its sides are silver with irregular vertical cobalt blue bars.

    Habitat: Has a circumtropical distribution, meaning they are found worldwide in tropical and subtropical waters of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans.

  Breeding Season: Females can produce several million eggs each year, and adults reproduce multiple times within their spawning season. Spawning occurs over an extended period, with activity peaking from May through August.
