MUDFISH

Appearance: Has a long, cylindrical body that tapers towards the tail, with a yellowish hue. The upper half of the body features 7-8 slightly forward-slanting black stripes, which become more distinct towards the tail.

Habitat: Inhabits brackish and saltwater environments, mangrove forests, and river estuaries, but it can also survive in freshwater. The fish is highly adaptable to harsh environmental conditions.

Natural spawning: occurs in coastal mudflats from April to September. Although the fish's ovary is not large, a female weighing approximately 20g can produce between 10,000 and 16,000 eggs.
