LOLIGO SQUID

Loligo Squid has a long, cylindrical body, recognizable by its diamond-shaped tail fins extending from the middle to the end of body.

Notable features include eight small arms, two long tentacles, pink-spotted skin, and large, transparent eyes. Squid inhabits estuaries, deep seas, and offshore waters.

Regarding hunting and defense mechanisms, squid employs three primary strategies:

- Camouflage: Specialized pigments in its skin allow it to change color to blend into its surroundings.

- Ink expulsion: Releases dark fluid to create a smoke-like screen, confusing predators.

- Jet propulsion: Uses water jets to propel itself at speeds of up to 40 km/h, making it the fastest mollusk in the ocean.

Squid has delicate flesh with a unique texture, soft yet chewy, slightly crunchy, and rich in flavor.
