Description: Has an elongated body, typical of eels.
Habitat: Dwells in tropical marine environments, specifically in the Indo-Western Pacific. They are found at depths of 800 to 875 meters, inhabiting soft sediments in coastal waters and estuaries.
Size: Males can reach a maximum total length of 250 centimeters (98 inches), but more commonly reach 180 centimeters (71 inches).
Reproduction Spawning: is reported to occurduring April–May and September–October.
