HIMEGO FISH
Appearance:
- A small fish, about 5 – 10 cm long, slender, and roughly the size of an index finger. It resembles an anchovy but has a milder scent.
- Its body is long, with white stripes similar to an anchovy, but its flesh is more transparent and firmer.
- Himego fish meet has a sweet, crunchy texture and is not fishy.
Habitat: In Vietnam, Himego fish can be found in almost all coastal areas from north to south. However, they are most concentrated in Ca Mau, Kien Giang, Nha Trang, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, and Phu Quoc.
